Cashless Enforcement Scheme launched by TS HM & Traffic Police serve legal notices to recover pending challans against the violators
Hyderabad 20 Jan : The Home Minister Naini Narsimha Reddy announced that the government will be providing Tata Sumo and Bolero vehicles to all the police stations in the State within a week. While launching the ‘Cashless Enforcement scheme’ at the City Police Commissionerate
, he said that the police stations in all the districts in Telangana would be given vehicles for making the State police provide their best services to the citizens. Further, he said that change of dress for the State’s police would give an impression of being working for a developed country. Naini said that the top experts from across the world were studying Hyderabad for improving traffic conditions. While recalling the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s words, the Home Minister said the government was working in the direction of making the City without signals, where flyovers would provide a freeway for traffic in all directions. Cashless Enforcement The Hyderabad Traffic police, which has adopted the ‘non contact enforcement’ for all kinds of violations will be completely shifting to issuing E-ticket instead of roadside challans by cops. The police will provide a period of 7 days to enable the violator to pay. If such booked cases cumulatively exceeds 3 cases, then police will detain the vehicle and its documents.Video footages and photographs of violation recorded by 355 CC cameras in the City and Speed lazer guns would be preserved for any attempt by violator to disprove the claims. Payment Centres The traffic violator who receives E-challan should make payment through E-seva, Mee-Seva, Net Banking, Post Office, SBH, ICICI or Andhra Bank. Information of payments for paid challans will be immediately updated in the database maintained by traffic police. The police has also opened helpline 9010203626. Cameras to Towing Vehicles After several complaints from citizens about handling of vehicle and accountability of the official, the traffic police has also placed cameras to the towing cranes to bring in transparency. Earlier DGP-TS Anurag Sharma patted his subordinates for the best Police-People friendly concept. City police Commissioner welcoming the chief guest and the gathering explained the benefits of the scheme and its merits. And added that a sense of discipline will automatically grow among the people and our city will become the trendsetter. Mr. C V Anand Cyberabad Commissioner and many others were present. Mr. Traffic Commissioner Jitender kumar gave a audio visual presentation of the scheme
