England rugby star and former Wasps Christian Wade made an instant impression on the NFL in pre-season for the Buffalo Bills by scoring a 65-yard touchdown with his very first touch.
Last year Wade made the big decision to turn his back on rugby union and follow a potentially profitable career in American football as part of the International Player Pathway Program, which aims to assist abroad talent break into the NFL.
The 28 years old landed himself a place on the Bills’ roster, but in a team being a running back that is blessed with talent in the place with the likes of Frank Gore and LeSean McCoy well-established named in the NFL.
So this month, Wade is to make an impression as well as land himself a place on the final 53-man playing roster, he will require to deliver something special. And on Thursday night against the Indianapolis Colts, he did just that.
Moreover, in what was his foremost touch for the Bills, Wade collects the ball off quarter-back Tyree Jackson and instantly cuts back right subsequent to spotting a gap in the Colts defence. Wade left rugby union as the 3rd highest try-scorer of all the time with 82 to his name.
